|This 1970's era photo shows York City Police Cadet Loren Levinski in front of York City Hall.
In the early 1970's the York City police established a police cadet program. The program was intended to bring young people interested in a law enforcement career into the policing environment prior to their 21st birthday, providing the cadets valuable experience and training in advance of their becoming a police officer.
Police Cadet Loren Levinsky went on to become a York City police officer, retiring after more than 20 years of service.
